EV battery is also named as traction battery which is used in the electric motors to power them in the place of other fuels. Types of EV Batteries
There are different types of electric batteries which have been discussed below.
Lead-acid Battery: it is the oldest and most low-cost battery that is rechargeable. It provides a continuous energy supply to electric vehicles. Lead-acid provides efficiency in the working and recharging period.
Nickel Metal Hydride: It is considered a mature technology in the field of EV batteries with specific energy higher than Lead-acid batteries. It is mostly being used in hybrid vehicles and a high level of performance has resulted in a response.
Zebra: Sodium chloroaluminate is the electrolyte that is used in this battery to make it more durable and efficient. This battery is being used in the latest model and commercial vehicles.
Lithium-ion: Initially this battery was designed to use in electric or electronics products such as laptops are chargeable items, however, due to its high efficiency of this it is now been used in Electric Vehicles as a leading battery type.
The above battery types which we have discussed are affordable in cost and provide high performance. Due to their efficient performance companies are changing vehicles into electric energy to replace the energy requirements of vehicles.
Scope of EV Battery
The scope of EV batteries in the present age of technology cannot be minimized. As the fuel vehicle is good in efficiency but in addition to this, they are producing CO2 and heat energy in a big amount and causing the rise in temperature or global warming and many other environment-related issues. On the other hand, Electric Vehicle batteries have changed the concept of fuel requirements for the vehicles. They have provided a cheap and environment-friendly solution for the energy requirements of vehicles. In short, we can say that the future of fuel vehicles is to convert them into electric vehicles by using electric batteries as an alternative to fuels.
Impact of EV Batteries on the Environment
Electric Batteries are the best solution to reduce the global warming caused by the burning of million of tons of fuel by the fuel vehicles. They are the best solution to reduce environmental pollution and make the air quality better. Electric batteries are charged by renewable energy resources and also lower the cost of energy by providing an earth-friendly environment. So the leading companies of the world compete to produce the best vehicles which can use EV batteries. These are easy to charge and easy to use in vehicles.
